Every Thursday, I take a look at the blog statistics. In blog statistics week 31, I am not looking at the numbers to chase views. I want to understand what reaches you as readers.
🇸🇪 Läs på svenska Bloggstatistik vecka 31 – när vardagen hittar fram
This week shows me something I recognise from my own life: everyday experiences matter. It does not always take major events or perfect solutions. Sometimes, it is enough for someone to put into words what is happening in the middle of ordinary life.
What Does Blog Statistics Week 31 Show?
The page Everyday Life, ADHD and Presence received views and continues to be an important entrance to Malix.se. From there, readers can find personal stories, reflections about ADHD and the practical tools I create.
Perhaps this says something about the blog as a whole. Everyday life is not a separate subject alongside everything else. It is the foundation.
When I Use What I Already Know
Among the individual posts, One Thing at a Time – When I Need to Use What I Teach was the most-read post, with many views.
This does not mean that I have only just discovered these tools. I have worked with structure, everyday life and change for many years, both professionally and in my own life.
But life changes, and sometimes old knowledge needs to be used in a new way.
Now that my work is based at home, I need to create my own structure. I do not have a workplace to travel to or fixed working hours that tell me when the working day begins and ends.
My work includes writing, the blog, courses, workbooks and supportive online conversations. At the same time, all the ordinary household tasks surround me. There is always something else that could be cleaned, washed, sorted or improved.
That is why my method of cleaning in squares has become even more important to me. It does not only help me begin cleaning. It also helps me stop.
I need a structure that leaves room for work and necessary tasks, but also for swimming, the garden, coffee outdoors, my family, recovery and life itself.
Otherwise, the entire day can easily become one long cleaning session, as though work only counts when my body is busy and the house becomes cleaner.
Perhaps the belief that a person should go to work and make themselves useful is deeply rooted in me. Now I need to remind myself that my work is here at home – and that a working day at home must also be allowed to end.
When Practical Tools Meet Personal Experience
A Morning in LVL², Cleaning in Squares and Rain on the Motorhome Roof received views.
That post combines everyday life, personal thoughts and a practical way of getting things done. Perhaps that is exactly what reaches people: not a ready-made method presented from above, but a tool being used in the middle of real life.
Dream Reflection with Compassion also received views. This shows that there is an interest in quieter and more inward-looking tools as well.
Last week’s blog statistics post also received views. Some of you seem to want to follow not only the individual texts, but also how the blog is growing and changing. I like that.
When Beautiful Weather Creates Stress
Several of this week’s most-read pages and posts are connected to my courses, workbooks and practical tools. Unfortunately, these materials are currently available only in Swedish.
Perhaps I will create English versions later, but that work will have to wait until autumn. Right now, the weather is beautiful, and I want to allow myself to enjoy it without turning every sunny day into another deadline.
I think many people in Sweden recognise the particular stress that appears as soon as the sun comes out. Our summers are short, the winters are long and dark, and beautiful days can feel limited and precious. Suddenly, we believe that we should make the most of every moment.
We should work in the garden, go swimming, have coffee outdoors, meet people, take a trip and enjoy ourselves – preferably all on the same day.
The sunshine becomes something we have to use correctly. If we stay indoors or do not accomplish enough, it can feel as though we have wasted one of the few good days we were given.
But enjoyment cannot be forced. A beautiful day does not have to become another task on a list.
The English versions of the courses can wait until the darker months. The work will still be there in autumn. This summer day will not.
Blog Statistics Week 31 – Where Did the Readers Come From?
Facebook generated referrals and remains the clearest route into the blog.
Search engines generated referrals. It is a small but positive sign. Someone searched for something and found a text on Malix.se.
A few readers also arrived through WordPress Reader and Threads.
The first Google advertisement for Dream Reflection with Compassion has just begun to appear. It is far too early to evaluate the results. For now, the advertisement is simply learning how to find the right people.
The statistics also contain a considerable amount of technical and automated traffic. That is why I pay more attention to recurring patterns than to the largest totals.
What I Am Taking with Me
When I summarise blog statistics week 31, I can see that everyday experiences continue to find their readers. But the statistics should not decide which thoughts I write about.
I do not need to write anything bigger, more remarkable or more perfect.
I will continue writing close to life. At the same time, I realise that regardless of what the statistics show or which texts people read, I cannot allow the numbers to control my writing completely.
I usually write about the thoughts I wake up with or something that has stayed with me during the day. If the thought is not there, the text will not come alive either. I need to write about what feels real at that moment.
It may be about everyday life, ADHD, recovery, dreams or the small tools that can make being human a little easier.
The personal and the practical do not have to be two separate things. On Malix.se, they are allowed to meet.
Between the Lines
Perhaps the perfect solution is not always what helps us move forward.
Perhaps it is someone saying:
I have been there too. This helped me take the next small step.
That can go a long way.
What kind of texts do you most enjoy reading here – personal stories from everyday life, practical tools or reflections about life?
