Wellcome
Hi! My name is Carina.
I’m a writing soul with my feet planted firmly in everyday life.
My heart lives in conversations with young people, and my thoughts often wander out to the lake dock or among the plants in my greenhouse.
Here at malix.se, I write about life – as it truly feels.
With quiet mornings, gritty moments, deep gratitude, and sometimes punk-fueled frustration.
It’s poetic fragments of everyday life – from my world, in my words.
Writing as a Lifeline
For me, writing is a way to breathe.
I write blog posts, stories, and books – sometimes grounded in everyday life, sometimes filled with imagination.
My latest book, The Winged Horse at Dusk, was written during a family road trip in our motorhome.
It includes AI-generated images, but all the words, all the emotion – they’re mine.
I write in both Swedish and English – not because I have to, but because I want more people to access my words, regardless of language.
Youth Work & Lectures
I work as a Treatment Pedagogue (Behandlingspedagog) with over 20 years of experience working within the Swedish state.
My passion lies in supporting children and adolescents who face exclusion and challenges in life.
With training in CBT, ART, low-arousal approaches, and neuropsychiatric understanding (NPF), I combine both practical and theoretical tools.
I’ve also given several lectures on ADHD and neurodivergence, where I share real-life experiences and offer understanding and tools to support others with warmth and compassion.
Many describe my lectures as moving, relatable, and easy to connect with – which means the world to me.
Everyday Life, Warmth & Rest
I’m also a foster mom, an artistic soul, and a proud tech noob.
When I’m not working or writing, you might find me taking a cold dip in the lake, drawing, or cooking from scratch.
I build life one breath at a time – often with a cup of coffee in hand and the cat curled up at my feet.
Welcome Here
This blog is my place to land, reflect, share, and understand –
and sometimes just to breathe through words.
You’re warmly welcome to follow along, leave a comment, subscribe, or simply read in silence.
Live today, right now.
Yesterday lives in our history. Tomorrow will arrive with its beauty – but only tomorrow.
Right now is what matters.
