Coffee, Uno and a sleeping cat – everyday joy in its simplest form.
One day filled with conversations, reunions, and blogging. From Uno games and warm meetings to SEO and small steps forward – this day carried both sorrow and laughter.
Sometimes days become bigger than you expect. Yesterday I had a conversation with a therapist, where I sorted through some of the grief that often tries to take space. It was a good talk – the kind that hurts, but at the same time helps me move forward.
Conversations, reunions and blogging in everyday life
Then something beautiful happened – a girl who used to visit us when she was little, together with her brother, came by. Back then, we were her “bonus grandparents” on weekends. Now she is in ninth grade. Time really does fly. It was truly lovely to see her again!
In addition, Alfred was here, and we played Uno (and as always, he won – that kid has all the luck!). Want to read more about Uno rules? You can find them here.
Meanwhile, I continued working on my blog. We build, we edit, we redo and do it right – and yes, sometimes it feels like ChatGPT has become my colleague. That’s why we had a proper SEO-day with ads and links. It’s fun, but now I’m tired.
When I wrote about ADHD in everyday life, it also felt like one of those “redo and do it right” moments. In the same way, it feels like that now with my blog – small steps forward, even if it takes time.
Still, I’m happy. Happy for the conversations, for the reunion, for the card games, and for daring to take new steps with the blog. Small steps, but still steps. This really was a day filled with conversations, reunions, and blogging.
Have you ever met someone from your past that made you smile? Do you also play card games with kids – and who usually wins in your home? And when you get stuck in life – what is your way of “redoing and doing it right”?
Between the lines – my voice
This post is not only about everyday life. It says something about how I don’t give up – not on myself, and not on my writing. I keep moving forward, even when it feels heavy, and I find joy in the small meetings along the way.
Reflection
It is in the meetings that I grow – both with others and with myself. And sometimes, even in the meeting with a stubborn computer that helps me find the words.
