How cozy can it possibly get? Sometimes, I can hardly believe it myself. After a workday where routines flow and the hours simply slip away, there’s nothing better than settling into the motorhome and driving toward the coast. Crayfish, cloudberry sauce, and a swim in the sea are waiting – while my thoughts drift between the present and the future.

From Work to the Motorhome Dream

Lvl^2 i Kungshamn

The day started early, as usual. At six in the morning, I got in the car and drove to work. There, I met the night shift, who shared their thoughts on the night, and shortly after, a colleague who sometimes works extra hours appeared. The workday flowed smoothly, and before I knew it, it was time to head home.

Once home, I quickly swapped my work clothes for something more comfortable and shifted into weekend mode. My husband had already bought crayfish and prawns, and we stocked the motorhome’s fridge with treats for our weekend trip to Kungshamn. There’s something special about sitting behind the wheel, knowing the whole weekend lies ahead.

Crayfish and Cloudberry Sauce – An Unexpected Delight

Have you ever tried cloudberry sauce with crayfish? If not, you really must! It was such a taste sensation – something completely new to me. After our crayfish feast, I was so taken with the sauce that I even made a piece of toast with nothing but cloudberry sauce. It was delicious!

Motorhome life is all about trying new things, and this combination is definitely one I’ll be having again.

Kungshamn – Relaxation by the Sea

Now I’m sitting here in the motorhome, feet tucked up in the armchair, with a glass of red wine in front of me. The sea is gently rippling outside, and soft music is playing in the background. It’s dark now, but that doesn’t matter. Here in Kungshamn, everything feels so peaceful.

My husband has already prepared something for the grill tomorrow, and we have two whole days ahead of us – just to enjoy.

Reflections on the Present and the Future

With my swimwear ready for tomorrow, I can already feel the anticipation of that morning dip. There’s nothing better than starting the day in the sea. At the same time, I can’t help but feel a touch of sadness, knowing this might be the last night we sleep in the motorhome this year. The next time we head out will probably be in spring 2025 – with a whole year of adventures ahead.

It’s a mix of melancholy and longing: melancholy because summer has ended, but excitement for spring and all that’s to come. Yet, right now, here in this moment, everything feels perfect.

Preparing for Winter

On Sunday, we’ll unpack the motorhome for winter. It will sit out there in the cold, waiting for us until next spring. Usually, our first trip is somewhere close – like Orust or Ed – and always near the water, because a swim is a must.

Even though I speak of the future, I remind myself that the present is what truly matters. This very moment, with wine in my glass and the sea outside, is all I have.

Closing Thoughts

It’s so easy to get caught up in future plans, but life is happening right now. How about you – do you live in the moment, or do you find yourself longing for what’s ahead?

I wish you a wonderful weekend. May you find moments to simply be. Unfortunately, the internet connection here isn’t working, so I can’t share any photos this time.

Reflection:
To be on the move and at peace at the same time – that’s what makes motorhome life so unique. The journey is not just a shift in time and place, but also a pause from the noise of everyday life.
