Wednesday Library Empathy and everyday life is not only about understanding others – it’s about feeling with them.
This reflection explores how joy, connection, and presence can grow when we truly allow ourselves to share in someone else’s happiness.

Wednesday Library Empathy and everyday life – feeling proud of someone else
Preface – when the library evolves
Sometimes I notice I’ve been walking the same path for a while.
Not because it’s wrong – but because something has been important.
But in the middle of that, I need to pause.
Look at what I’ve already written.
And ask myself: what is actually growing here?
You don’t always have to be on stage
You don’t always need to be the one in the spotlight to feel something deeply.
Sometimes it’s enough to stand in the audience and feel proud of someone else.
Soup, pride and the beauty of feeling for others
Yesterday was filled with cooking and family time.
Simple things – but meaningful.
And this morning, I woke up with a strong feeling of pride.
Not for myself – but for someone else.
What is empathy?
Empathy is the ability to truly feel with someone else.
Not pity – but understanding.
Sharing joy makes it bigger
When we feel joy for others, something grows inside us too.
That’s empathetic joy.
🌿 From self-compassion to empathy
