This is a reflection from yesterday.
From a day filled with encounters, words and impressions that didn’t quite let go – but followed me home and settled within me.

A day filled with meetings, words and thoughts – a reflection from yesterday in Trollhättan.
Saturday evening – when a reflection from yesterday stays
It is Saturday evening.
And I sit here with a body that is a little tired, but a mind full of thoughts.
The day started like any ordinary day – but ended with something moving into me.
Words. Conversations. People.
I was at a campaign kickoff in Trollhättan.
And it wasn’t just a stage with people speaking.
There was something else too.
Something you could feel.
The words spoken up there…
they didn’t stay there.
They moved into me.
And I can feel how they are still there now.
When reality is given words
They spoke about the waiting day deduction.
That it needs to go.
And I think that even if it doesn’t always affect me –
it affects us.
All those who go to work sick.
Not because they want to.
But because they can’t afford to stay home.
I know what that feels like.
When the body resists.
When every step feels heavy.
When you take painkillers just to get through another day.
Deep down, you just want to lie down. Rest.
But you go anyway.
And I think…
it shouldn’t have to be like that.
Not in a society that says we take care of each other.
Growing old without worry
They also spoke about pensions.
And it stayed with me.
Because when you have worked your whole life –
you should be able to live on your pension.
It shouldn’t be about choosing between food or medicine.
It shouldn’t be about worry.
You have done your part.
You have carried, worked, paid your taxes.
Then society should carry back.
The society we build together
There was so much more.
About work.
About the future.
About creating opportunities – not just for a few, but for everyone.
That our children should dare to become adults.
Dare to move out.
Dare to take steps into life.
That we must continue to invest in knowledge.
In lifelong learning.
In places like ABF where people can grow – even later in life.
Because something happens there.
When people understand. Learn. Gather.
The meetings that stay – a reflection from yesterday
But what stayed with me the most…
was not only what was said from the stage.
It was the meetings.
The conversations in the square.
People stopping. Sharing thoughts.
Not everyone agreed with me.
And that was okay.
Because something else was there.
A respect. A willingness to talk.
And one man…
he carried the word solidarity with such pride and certainty.
It did something to me.
The hope you can feel – a reflection from yesterday
When I left, I felt it in my body.
A calm.
A hope.
Not because everyone agrees.
But because there are still people who care.
Who want.
Who think.
Who talk to each other.
And maybe that’s where it begins.
Not in big words.
But in meetings.
In conversations.
In the willingness to see each other.
And maybe…
Maybe it’s not only about politics.
Maybe it’s about what kind of society we want to be in.
One where we care.
One where we don’t leave each other behind.
One where we dare to hope.
And tonight…
it actually feels possible.
🌿 Reflection from yesterday
Sometimes it’s not the answers that stay – but the feeling.
That something is still alive.
That people still want the best for each other.
And maybe that is enough as a beginning.
This reflection from yesterday stayed with me longer than I thought it would.
🌿 Between the lines – my voice
Someone stood there and said something that stayed with me.
Not the exact words – but the feeling.
That this is where we stand.
This is where we are.
And from here, the future takes its direction.
And maybe that is where everything begins.
Not later.
Not somewhere ahead.
But here.
This became yet another reflection from yesterday – the kind that lingers a little longer than expected.
The human being comes first.
Always.

about people, society and what holds it together.

✨ Final words

Live today, right now.
Yesterday rests in history, and tomorrow waits in the distance.
But it is here – in what we do, feel and dare to believe in – that the future actually takes shape.
