Everyday ADHD and Presence – A Quiet Birthday and What the Stats Show

This past week held both a birthday, everyday joy, and a quiet look at blog statistics

This past week held both a birthday, everyday joy, and a calm reflection on blog statistics. Presence, responsibility, and everyday life with ADHD are recurring themes—both in life itself and in what is being read here on the blog.

A birthday that was just right

veryday ADHD and presence – a quiet birthday, winter light, and reflection

My birthday turned out to be a good day.
Not big or planned out—just calm, warm, and kind.

I made pancakes for lunch when my daughter and her son came over. Then we all went outside—me, my daughter, her son, and the little one—to go sledding in the snow. One of those moments that needs nothing more than warm clothes, movement, and laughter.

My husband came home with a slightly bigger, slightly better TV for the upstairs living room. A friend of mine, who shares the same birthday as I do, stopped by in the afternoon with a beautiful little lantern. My son came home with lovely chocolate.

In many ways, it was a perfect birthday.

Everyday ADHD and presence – when life unfolds as it is

As life often does, there were also things that didn’t happen.
Some calls never came. And that, too, is part of life.

There are things I cannot influence, and it is not my responsibility to carry the choices of others. My responsibility lies elsewhere—in taking care of myself, living my life, and creating meaning and joy where I actually stand.

I choose not to get stuck in what didn’t happen.
I choose to take responsibility for my own happiness and to be present for the people who are here, now—and who need me as the whole person I am.

This week’s blog statistics – numbers with direction

When I look at the Jetpack statistics for January 2–8, 2026, I see a clear pattern. Nothing dramatic—but something steady.

Most read posts this past week:

  • Everyday ADHD and Presence
  • That Meter of Life
  • Humanity and the Social Climate – Reflections on Responsibility
  • Swimming and Presence – When Consideration Becomes Tiring
  • Stopping the Chase with ADHD – A Life Journey from 2009 to Today

What is being read most are texts about everyday life, responsibility, the body, pace, and humanity.
The same themes I live with—and write from.

Where readers are – and why it matters

Most readers are in Sweden, but the blog is also read in the United States, Belgium, and Ireland. Traffic mainly comes from Facebook, the WordPress Reader, and search engines.

This doesn’t tell me that I need to change direction.
On the contrary.

It tells me that presence, everyday reflection, and a human pace do reach people—without chasing algorithms or adjusting my voice.

Between the lines – my voice

This post isn’t really about statistics.
It’s about responsibility.

Taking responsibility for one’s life, direction, and presence—even when things don’t turn out as hoped.
Living on without diminishing what is felt, but without letting it take over.

I am who I am.
And that is enough.

But right now—this is where life happens.
